What could be more fun than starting a new blog?

When the old website went bye-bye, so did the blog posts. And that's okay. It's time for a new start!

What's Rebecca's West all about?

It will:

• discuss and ask opinions about Western traditions and ways of life;

• share behind-the-scenes details (or situations) that are creating havoc in my stories;

• recommend books and authors I think you'll enjoy;

• share stories, recipes, and life's adventures;

  • and faith, which makes it all work!

  • and did I mention occasional free giveaways?

So, why Rebecca's West? I am a displaced cowgirl. I immerse myself into Western culture and character . . . and my books are set in the West, where my mind lives!

I must admit that I have "a thing" for Montana. We enjoyed Arizona living and visiting Western states, but Montana felt like home--mom-and-pop businesses, small-town law enforcement, forest rangering (yes, that's a word), fighting for underdogs, horses, farms, country life. And people standing up for God's values and fighting for what's right.

And I love all things culinary. My current work-in-process, Intentional Motives, (Book 3 of the Sunrise Crik Series), involves a new culinary arts school in Montana. It's a beautiful and exciting place--but sometimes it's dangerous. Who's working there and why? That reminds me--I like to share recipes, too.
